Wi-Fi Strat has been popular with many Mario Kart DS players mainly as a time attack for practicing Wi-Fi matches.
Now, it has won a big position in the TA event of Mario Kart DS.

This page describes rules and joining info.

Wi-Fi Stratは、Wi-Fi対戦の練習として多くのマリオカートDSプレイヤーに親しまれてきたTA種目です。
今では、マリオカートDSのTA種目において大きな地位を獲得しています。

このページでは、ルールや参加方法について説明していきます。

Rules (ルール)

①Engine class is 100cc. (Action Replay or R4 is needed to play)
　排気量は100㏄。(プレイするにはプロアクションリプレイやR4が必要。)
②A kart allowed to use is Egg 1 only.
　使用可能なカートはエッグワン限定。
③Cannot use a mushroom.
　きのこは使用禁止。
④20 official courses on Wi-Fi is playable.
　Wi-Fiの公式の20コースがプレイ可能。

✳︎ You can't play Wi-Fi Strat using an emulator. However, it is possible if you use it when recording.
※エミュレーターを使ってのW-Fi Stratのプレイは不可。録画の際の使用なら可能。

The process of joining is very easy.
First, upload your Wi-Fi Strat video that follows the rules to a video sharing site such as Youtube. Then just submit the URL to Submit (投稿).

All the records posted on this site are pretty good, so don't worry too much if you don't get good times for the first time.
